The team focuses on companies engaged in the commercialisation, mass deployment and operation of technologies and business models that provide solutions to the challenges presented by global warming and climate change.
Areas of focus include fuel cells (for stationary, mobility, rail, maritime and aerospace applications); hydrogen production, storage and distribution; wind, solar PV and geothermal renewable energy generation; wave and tidal energy; carbon capture, storage and usage technologies; energy storage technologies; decarbonised home heating and efficient building management; EV charging and hydrogen fuelling infrastructure; waste-to-energy / waste-to-value / circular economy recycling technologies; sustainable materials (e.g. non-fossil fuel replacements for plastics, concrete, combustible fuels, bio fuels, yarns for apparel manufacture); sustainable agriculture, vertical farms and forestry and water technologies (including drinking water purification technologies and industrial water remediation and reuse).
Nick Walker has >20 years of experience analysing companies in renewable energy, cleantech, waste-to-value & circular economy, sustainable agriculture and water technology as a sector-specialist investment analyst, new business originator and market educator. He heads up Peel Hunt’s team in this space.
Andrew Shepherd-Barron joined Peel Hunt in 2001. He has experience of a number of sectors and particular expertise in Clean Energy. In the past, he has run equity Research teams at ABN Amro and Dresdner Kleinwort, where he was the number one rated individual analyst on France. He studied Economics at Exeter University.
