Equities Graduate Programme

Equities Graduate Programme

We are excited to launch our very first Equities Graduate Programme, starting in September 2026. This 12-month programme is designed to give ambitious graduates an opportunity to begin a career in the world of Equities.

Our Equities business helps institutional investors from around the world invest in UK companies. Operating out of our offices in London, New York, Abu Dhabi and Copenhagen, our team of over 40 dedicated sales people, sales traders and core traders, is one of the largest in the market.

By joining the Equities Department at Peel Hunt, you’ll gain hands-on experience by rotating across our core areas of Equity Sales, Sales Trading and Core Trading, building a well-rounded understanding of how we operate and interact with our clients, both corporates and investors. Additionally, you will spend time in other core areas of our business, including Research, Investment Banking and Operations. This is because we believe strongly in ensuring that Graduates gain a deep understanding of the whole ecosystem to really understand our culture and what connects our business together.

As part of the programme, you will be required to complete the CISI Capital Markets Programme Level 3 which will provide the foundation for your ongoing professional development.

Applications are now open and close on 30th November.

We deliver timely, price-critical insights and have deep knowledge of the companies we support as corporate brokers. Trusted by clients, we play a key role in their investment process, with expertise in Investment Trusts, risk-arb, and special situations. Alongside promoting research and meeting management teams, we support IPOs, equity raises, and other ECM opportunities.

Sales Trading
Our Sales Trading team covers institutional clients across the globe, on both a high-touch and low-touch basis. It covers all types of investors, including long-only, hedge funds, private wealth managers, retail investors, family offices and registrars. It also provides alternative execution solutions to our clients on top of day-to-day flow business, including block trading, dual-listing trading and programme trading.

Core Trading
The Core Trading desk is dedicated to sourcing liquidity at the best possible prices for our institutions, thereby working closely with the Sales/Sales Trading desk. This desk actively takes positions with the ultimate objective of increasing our market share in institutional flow particularly in companies for which Peel Hunt acts as Corporate Broker.
