Environmental impact
There is no planet b
The climate crisis is the most serious environmental challenge the world has yet faced, and at Peel Hunt we know we all have a role to play in tackling it.
Our CRP sets out how we intend to reduce our footprint, with a particular focus on business travel, commuting, and our buildings.
Working with responsible clients
We want to work with clients who, like us, aim to do the right thing as a responsible business.
As a trusted advisor to our clients, we are in a privileged position, and we are mindful of the wider influence that gives us. We’re seeing a growing interest in ESG issues from our corporate and institutional clients, who are increasingly seeking our advice on how to address them.
We run ESG conferences attended by companies and investors alike and our expert research analysts incorporate ESG analysis into their investment reports.
Net zero carbon office
Our offices are in a ground-breaking BREEAM-rated carbon neutral building that’s in the top 1% of sustainable office buildings in the UK. 100 Liverpool Street has become British Land’s first net zero carbon development, one of very few in London, after completing the offset of residual embodied carbon.
Reducing our carbon footprint
We have started work to reduce our own carbon emissions to carbon neutral by 2025 and net zero by 2040. We have recently published our carbon reduction plan, which sets out how we intend to reduce our footprint, with a particular focus on business travel, commuting, and our buildings. We also detail our carbon emissions and the impact our activities have on these emissions.
Our programmes
A number of our charitable and volunteering programmes are focused on helping the environment: including supporting the work at Spitalfields city farm, Holland Park and Royal Parks.
