Nicholas Lyons was the driving force behind the Mansion House Compact during his tenure as Lord Mayor, and he has a central role in revitalising UK investment through his position on the Capital Markets Industry Taskforce and as chairman of Phoenix Group.

Importantly, the Compact is a private sector proposal, so is not impacted by any change in government. This should be a starting point for material change in capital allocation and risk appetite, to improve returns and increase domestic investment.
