Cruises and Circle South America cruises on two ships:
• Island Princess 2021 World Cruise sailing from North America, including associated segments and remaining voyages sailing immediately prior.
• Pacific Princess 2021 Circle South America sailing from Australia, including associated positioning cruises.
We share in the disappointment of this cancellation for guests of our world cruises because it’s a pinnacle cruise vacation experience, booked by some of our most loyal guests, said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises president.
Guests currently booked on these cancelled voyages will receive a refundable Future Cruise Credit (FCC) equivalent to 100% of the cruise fare paid plus an additional non-refundable bonus FCC equal to 25% of the cruise fare paid. To receive the above FCCs, no action is required by the guest or their travel advisor. Alternatively, guests can forfeit the bonus FCC offer and request a refund for all money paid on their booking by using this online form. Guests have until September 30, 2020 to elect a refund, or they will automatically receive the default offer listed above.”

• Jaywing – “Since March 2020, the economic impact of Covid-19 has resulted in revenue levels below those of the prior year, but the Company has taken actions to protect both cash and profitability through this period, including voluntary salary reductions, cost reductions, rent deferrals and deferral of certain HMRC payments. The Company has also continued to win new business and the April to June quarter has been profitable at EBITDA level (unadjusted). • In the UK, secondary school pupils in England will have to wear masks in school corridors in local lockdown areas, after the government reversed its guidance.
• Spain is going to call-in the army to help identify people who have been exposed to coronavirus. The government says it will make 2,000 soldiers, trained in tracking, available to regions, which are responsible for healthcare.
• German coalition parties have agreed to extend measures to counter the economic impact of the pandemic, such as prolonging short-term work subsidies, and bridging aid for small and medium-sized companies totalling €10bn.
• Sweden has withdrawn its advice against unnecessary travel to the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Romania. Sweden earlier withdrew advice against unnecessary trips to Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, France, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Norway, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Switzerland, Spain, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, the Vatican and Austria.
• Germany’s foreign ministry is extending its travel warning for countries outside Europe until 14 September, after data showed more than 40% of new infections were contracted overseas.
• Rates of transmission are easing in many parts of the world, the World Health Organisation has suggested.
