• The JCVI has recommended a booster vaccine for the over 50s (preferably the Pfizer shot) and said it should be given no sooner than six months after the second dose.
• From Monday 20 September, in Scotland one vaccine dose will be offered to all children aged 12 -15.
• Children in New York returned to school today, with compulsory masks and mandatory vaccination for teachers.
• Ho Chi Minh City is to extend restrictions until the end of September.
