Championing UK quoted companies: podcast with James Ashton

  • The Quoted Companies Alliance (QCA) represents and champions quoted companies in the UK. This means it has a central role in dialogue with regulators and government to ensure that regulation is proportionate and that the markets work for all participants.
  • Small and midcap companies are the growth engine of the economy, as well as employing a large number of people in the UK and providing a material contribution in annual tax revenues.

James Ashton has been chief executive of the QCA since 2022. He was previously city editor and executive editor of the Evening Standard and Independent titles, and before that city editor of the Sunday Times.
