Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence at the Non‑Executive Director Awards

Peel Hunt was proud to host an exceptional evening at the 20th annual Non‑Executive Director Awards, founded by Peel Hunt and supported by The Sunday Times, celebrating two decades of outstanding contribution from non‑executive directors across UK business and the not‑for‑profit and public sectors.

Held at Claridge’s, the Awards brought together an inspiring community of boardroom leaders whose judgement, integrity and long‑term impact continue to shape organisations and institutions across the UK. As we mark this milestone year, the evening was both a celebration of individual achievement and a reflection on the enduring role of NEDs in guiding organisations through change over the past 20 years.

We were delighted to recognise this year’s deserving winners:

  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Archie Norman
  • FTSE 100 Chair Award: George Culmer, Aviva
  • FTSE 100 NED Award: Tanuj Kapilashrami, Sainsbury’s
  • FTSE All Share Award: Leslie Van de Walle, Greencore
  • Dame Helen Alexander ‘NED to Watch’ Award: Alys Carlton, Football Association of Wales
  • FTSE AIM Award: Ilse Howling, Frontier Developments
  • Private / Private Equity‑Backed Award: Nicholas Thain, Amerge
  • Not‑For‑Profit / Public Service Organisation Award: Karen Frank, British Heart Foundation

Our congratulations go to all the winners and finalists, whose leadership and commitment exemplify the very best of non‑executive governance. As the NED Awards enters its third decade, Peel Hunt remains proud to champion the individuals who help shape stronger boards, better businesses and a more resilient UK economy.
