The climate crisis is the most serious environmental challenge the world has yet faced, and at Peel Hunt we know we all have a role to play in tackling it. We believe that reducing greenhouse gas emissions is a key step and this is why we are committed to responsible energy management and practice energy efficiency throughout our organisation.
Net Zero Carbon Office
Our new offices are at 100 Liverpool Street, in a building with an expected BREEAM rating of Excellent. 100 Liverpool Street has become British Land’s first net zero carbon development, one of very few in London, after completing the offset of residual embodied carbon.
Emissions Reduction Policies
As part of our carbon neutrality project, we are looking to reduce our carbon footprint to net neutral. Firstly we are assessing scope 3 emissions and an important part of this is the emissions caused by commuting to work.
Reduced Travel
We have facilitated and encouraged the use of video conferencing to reduce unnecessary travel, building on lessons learned during the Covid-19 pandemic.
A number of our charitable and volunteering programmes are about helping the environment too.
